The silly things we say

Just a random post about some funny things we say...

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to get into very silly routines of speech? Especially when you are around someone so much of the time. I think we become unaware of how silly we must sound to other people. If you were to listen to a conversation between us... well, you'd probably be pretty confused.

For a while, the comeback to EVERYTHING was "your face!" A very witty comment, I know, and so very mature. This is till a saying that is heard frequently in our home. Most of the time, it makes absolutely no sense. Still, it is a sure way to giggle a little. For example:
S- That's silly.
R- You know what else is silly?
S- Your face! Burn!!!
R- Oh, come on!

Next, our (especially my) favorite thing to do was to add the suffix "-ies" to everything. We went on walkies, had lots of good talkies, did things just for funsies, scarfed down some snackies, and at the end of the day turned in for some very sound sleepies.

But the one I noticed most recently was the fact that we add the word "pants" to the end of everything. One can be a grumpy-pants, poopy-pants, silly-pants, or sleepy-pants- maybe even a combination of all of them! Those are just the ones that come to mind. I am sure that many previously pant-less things will receive their pants very soon.

You know, someday, we are going to drive our beautiful children bonkers.

And now, I am a sleepy-pants.
